Brian has over 30 years’ experience working with commercial, public and third sector clients. He specialises in public affairs, strategic communications, stakeholder engagement and issue and crisis management.
Brian has worked with commercial organisations in the pharmaceutical, medical diagnostic, charity and food industries. His public sector work includes relationship building with government departments and arms-length agencies.
Julie Flexen Managing Director
Julie provides strategic communications counsel for businesses (reputation and brand building) as well as campaigns for change across public, private and voluntary sectors.
She has worked with some of the UK’s and indeed the world’s largest companies including Kellogg’s, Nestlé, M&S, Pfizer, GSK and Lloydspharmacy. Julie has also been Director in Charge of a number of high profile public sector campaigns in environment, education and health (from teacher recruitment and concessionary bus passes to organ donation and 5 A DAY) and is proud to have had a hand in over 50 award-winning campaigns.
Stephanie SnowHead of Practice (Healthcare)
Stephanie has over 20 years of experience in campaigning, healthcare public relations, stakeholder engagement and media relations. Her clients have included Pfizer, UCB, GlaxoSmithKline, Novartis, Boots, Sanofi-aventis, Galderma, AstraZeneca and Roche.
She has delivered a wide range of product communications programmes, as well as providing strategic communications counsel in areas including market access, corporate reputation and issues management.
Sarah HartSenior Consultant (Healthcare)
Sarah has over 20 years' experience in healthcare communications, the bulk of which has been spent working with the pharmaceutical industry. Sarah has worked with clients on brands spanning the breadth of the pharmaceutical lifecycle, providing strategic communications counsel, and delivering impactful, flawlessly executed campaigns.
Sarah has led teams to deliver award-winning programmes, and she is passionate about demonstrating the effectiveness and return on investment of communications. As a founder member of the Healthcare Communications Association, Sarah helped develop the first-ever Healthcare Communications Evaluation tool.
Her experience covers not only the UK market environment but also pan-Europe and global.
Vicky McGuireHead of Practice (Campaigns)
Vicky has a track record of delivering major public awareness campaigns including the award-winning Bankers to Teachers campaign for the Training and Development Agency for Schools, the inaugural Climate Week and Transplant Week for NHS Blood and Transplant.
She has also delivered successful profile-raising campaigns for organisations ranging from the Universities Council for the Education of Teachers (UCET) to the NHS Institute for Innovation and Improvement.
Ben HickeyHead of Brands
Ben has over thirteen years of experience, having worked with some of the country’s leading brands and companies on a variety of programmes in the FMCG, consumer health and public health spaces.
Ben’s experience includes direct-to-consumer campaigns, using a variety of traditional, social and digital media avenues; healthcare professional outreach programmes targeting specific audiences from pharmacists and nurses to nutritionists and fitness experts; trade marketing; crisis and issues work; corporate reputation management; and branded programmes aimed at educating and influencing key opinion leaders and stakeholders.
In terms of client experience Ben has worked on campaigns for dozens of world-class brands including Coca-Cola, Danone, Innocent, Kellogg’s, adidas, Nurofen, alli, Optrex, Blistex, Neutrogena and Sunsilk.
Lisa LambertAssociate Director (Brands)
Lisa is a consumer and brand campaign expert with fourteen years’ experience in PR and events management, primarily in the FMCG and retail sectors.
Lisa has directed campaigns for food organisations such as Nestlé and Tate & Lyle, as well as health and wellbeing campaigns for major skin care and fitness brands.
Lisa’s experience also includes five years' work for Somerfield supermarkets as well as trade and consumer campaigns for the likes of Dr. Oetker, Mars, Haribo, Cirque du Soleil, BT, Sony Ericsson, Universal Pictures and Buena Vista.
Claire GrindalAssociate Director (Healthcare)
Claire is a healthcare communications specialist with over 13 years’ experience.
Claire has directed health awareness campaigns including hepatitis C for the Department of Health and the multi award-winning NHS Blood and Transplant Organ Donation campaign. Claire also has expertise in disease areas such as pain and arthritis, lung, breast and ovarian cancers.
Previously, Claire was the Head of Media and Communications for mental health charity, Mind.
James HollowayAssociate Director (Public Affairs)
James specialises in healthcare public affairs, market access and corporate affairs. He leads the agency’s public affairs team where he advises a range of commercial, voluntary, public and professional membership organisations.
James has been responsible for award-winning campaigns, including securing free prescriptions in tuberculosis and launching innovative products in atrial fibrillation, alcohol misuse and hepatitis C.
Sarah BrownAccount Director (Campaigns)
Sarah is one of Munro & Forster’s senior environmental specialists. She is the former Head of Press and PR at the Waste & Resources Action Programme (WRAP) where she was responsible for corporate PR as well as overseeing media relations for the highly successful ‘Love Food Hate Waste’ and ‘Recycle Now’ campaigns. She also worked with the British Retail Consortium on the UK-wide programme to cut the numbers of single-use carrier bags which gained widespread national media coverage.
Prior to this Sarah worked for climate change consultants The CarbonNeutral Company, on both public relations and public affairs campaigns. This gave her valuable experience in engaging with businesses on environmental issues.
